Chess Champion Bobby Fischer


Robert James “Bobby” Fischer (March 9, 1943 – January 17, 2008) was born in Chicago, Illinois. A chess grandmaster, he was the eleventh World Chess Champion, widely considered one of the greatest chess players of all time.

Bobby Fischer later renounced his US citizenship and became a citizen of Iceland.
