Puppeteer Jim Henson
James Maury “Jim” Henson (September 24, 1936 – May 16, 1990), was one of the most popular puppeteers in American history. He was the creator of The Muppets. He was the leading force behind their long run in the television series Sesame Street and The Muppet Show. He was also creator of many puppet projects in films.
He was an Oscar-nominated film director, Emmy Award-winning television producer, among other awards and recognition.
He died of Streptococcal Toxic Shock Syndrome (STSS).
Incidentally, Jim Henson’s alter ego, Kermit the Frog, is also left-handed.
