Marcel Marceau (Marcel Mangel) was born in Strasourg, France on March 22, 1923.  A French-born actor, he was a popularly known as a mime artist although he appeared in several television programs as well as films.  Marceau died at the age of 84, September 22, 2007, in Cahors, Lot, France.

Marcel Marceau was the considered the world’s most famous mime and creator of Bip, the white-faced clown. He is known for the quote:

Artist Pablo Picasso – Not a Lefty

As often quoted or listed, Pablo Picasso is not a leftie.  Thanks to Allison Clark for calling my attention through her recent comment, April 28, 2010.

And Mike1942, a contributor at answers.yahoo.com has confirmed this. We only need to consider Picasso’s several dozen pictures working with his right hand in “Goodbye Picasso” alone, says Mike.
