James Francis Cameron (born August 16, 1954) is a Canadian born American film director, producer and screenwriter. He was born on August 16, 1954 in Ontario. He has written and directed blockbuster films such as Aliens and Titanic. After a string of landmark feature films, Cameron turned his focus to documentary filmmaking and the co-development of the digital 3-DFusion Camera System. For the year 2009, he is working on a return to feature filmmaking with the science fiction film Avatar, scheduled for release in December 2009.

Lefty Birthday Celebrant – Jennifer Saunders

Jennifer Jane Saunders, born on 6 July 1958, is an English actress, screenwriter and comedienne.

In the 1980s, she came into public attention, and in the early 1990s she became a member of The Comic Strip. Along with Dawn French, her comedy partner, she proceeded to write and star in their sketch show, French & Saunders. She received international acclaim for writing and playing the lead role as Edina Monsoon in Absolutely Fabulous, a BBC sitcom.

More recently, Jennifer Saunders has written and starred in The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle. Amongst her other works, she has guest starred in the US-made sitcoms Friends and Roseanne. She won the American People’s Choice Award for voicing the wicked Fairy Godmother in Dream Works’ animated Shrek 2.
