In 1993, left-handed U.S. president Bill Clinton chose left-handed Ruth Bader Ginsburg to be his first Supreme Court nominee. Supreme Court Justice Ruth ader Binsburg was confirmed as the 107th justice to the high court.

Ruth Joan Bader Ginsburg is born on March 15, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York. She is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States appointed by Democratic President Bill Clinton.

The second female justice (after Sandra Day O’Connor) and the first Jewish female justice, Ginsburg too the oath of office August 10, 1993.

She is an advocate for the equal citizenship status of women and men as a constitutional principle. She was a professor at Rutgers School of Law—Newark and Columbia Law School. In 1980, President Jimmy Carter appointed her to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

Forbes named her among the 100 Most Powerful Women in 2009.

The only son of former US President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, and younger brother of Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg.
Caroline’s birthday is November 27.
Kennedy, jr was willed in a plane crash along with his wife and sister-in-law on July 16, 1999.

American lawyer Marcia Rachel Clark is born August 31, 1953, a former prosecutor for the State of California, County of Los Angeles, in the O.J. Simpson murder case along with Christopher Darden.

She authored a book with Teresa Carpenter entitled, Without a Doubt, about the case. Clark was on leave from her job following Simpson’s acquittal in 1995, and officially resigned in 1997. Prior to the O.J. Simpson murder case, her most high-profile prosecution was in 1991, when she prosecuted Robert John Bardo for the murder of Rebecca Schaeffer, a television star.

Robert Joseph “Bob” Dole, born July 22, 1923, in Russell, Kansas, is a lawyer and retired U.S. Senator from Kansas from 1969–1996. Part of that time Dole served as U.S. Senate Majority Leader, setting a record as the longest-serving Republican leader. In the 1996 U.s. Presidential election, he was the Republican nominee, but lost to Bill Clinton.

In 2007, President George W. Bush appointed Dole as a co-chairperson of the commission to investigate problems at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is member and former U.S. Senator Elizabeth Hanford Dole of North Carolina.

Trivia on Bob Dole as a Lefty: Bob Dole is originally a right-hander. He had to switch to left-hand after he lost the use of his right arm in a serious injury suffered during World War II.  He went 0n to become a successful United States senator,  Senate majority leader, and a U.S. presidential candidate.
